Hey Travelers! Welcome to the exciting world of aviation. If you want to become a private or commercial pilot, look no further; this is the post/video is for you! Lorin and Morgan “Mo” share what it’s really like to be a pilot. They share how they got into the aviation field, the education and training requirements, and the obstacles they’ve experienced as black female pilots. We also talk about where pilots sleep and how they deal with turbulence. This is an interview you DON’T want to miss.
Lorin and Morgan “Mo” are two incredible black female pilots who are doing something very special in the world of flying. They are showing that anyone can follow their dreams, no matter what others might say.
Lorin really liked going on adventures and traveling to new places. One day, her friends asked her, “Why not become a pilot?” This idea excited her! Even though there weren’t many black pilots, Lorin decided to give it a try. She used what she learned from studying engineering to help her become a pilot. Her story teaches us that if you really want something, you can make it happen.
Mo was inspired by her friend, who joined a special program called the Red Tail Scholarship Foundation. This program helps young African Americans or people of color become pilots. Mo saw her friend go on amazing trips all over the country, and she thought, “I want to do that too!” So she joined the program and is currently in training. Morgan’s story reminds us that when you follow your dreams, you can open doors for others too.
Being Black women in aviation can be tough, but Lorin and Mo found that most people in the aviation world are really friendly and helpful. Once they became part of the pilot community, they felt welcomed. They met other pilots who shared their love for flying. Lorin and Mo learned that when you have friends who believe in you, you can overcome any challenges.
Lorin and Morgan’s stories remind us that we should never give up on our dreams. No matter what challenges we face, if we work hard and believe in ourselves, we can do amazing things. They are truly leading the way and making the world of aviation more diverse. You can reach for the sky and follow your dreams just like Lorin and Morgan!
