Hey Travelers! TSA PreCheck is like a magic key for frequent flyers in the United States. It’s a program by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that makes your journey through airport security lines faster and more convenient. In this guide, we’ll dissect how the program works, where you can find it, the cost, and so much more. Although I can’t personally vouch, endorse, or recommend this program, it could be an option worth investigating. Let’s dive into the essential details you need to know!
The price to enroll varies depending on the enrollment provider you choose. There are two providers – Idemia and Telos. Idemia charges $78 for enrollment and $70 for online renewal. If you prefer an in-person renewal, it’s $78. On the other hand, Telos charges $85 for enrollment and $70 for both online and in-person renewal. So, choose the one that suits you best.
This program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents. Additionally, Canadian citizens with NEXUS membership can also apply. However, eligibility might be affected by certain criminal offenses, incomplete applications, or federal security violations.
Is this program worth it? It’s up for you to decide. Hopefully, this guide has made your decision a lot easier. Be sure to check out my guides where I talk about Global Entry and CLEAR below!
