Hey Travelers! I had the amazing opportunity to be able to host two panels at VidCon and speak at one panel. It was a life changing opportunity to be the room with so many content creators. These content creators were on fire about content creation. Their enthusiasm was contagious. In between panels, I took the opportunity to interview a few content creators to hear what they thought about the first ever VidCon on the East Coast, what they thought about Baltimore, and of course, about content creation.
When I asked fellow content creators what their favorite thing about attending VidCon, they almost all agreed that it was being around other content creators. There is something about being in the room with others that share they same passions and interests. As I mentioned above, this was also my favorite part about attending the conference. The atmosphere was electric.
One thing that I learned while I was at VidCon Baltimore was that there is a niche for everyone. In the the interview above, I had a change to interview the Bald Bandito. He has over 400,000+ subscribers across social media platforms, just because he makes content about being bald.
It was amazing that the first VidCon on the East Coast was in Baltimore, my hometown. I love that VidCon chose Charm City. In my opinion, Baltimore is definitely a gem that has a lot to offer. It was cool to hear what people enjoyed doing and loved about my hometown. I especially loved to hear that one person was so happy to be in Baltimore after spending time in the Inner Harbor.
One of my favorite interviewees was Michaela Jill Murphy. She is a voice actress who does the voice of Toph in Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender. It was so cool to hear her to do the voice of Toph.
