Hey Travelers! You have big dreams and want to go at them with full force. However, if we’re being honest, there are some days when you don’t feel like going after your dreams. When the endorphins wear off, and the excitement fades away, you don’t feel like putting forth the effort to keep showing up. If this is happening to you, don’t feel down. In this article and video, I’m going to give you a small tip so you will know what to do when your struggle with consistency.
If you struggle with consistency, don’t fear; it happens to the best us. When you find yourself not feeling motivated to keep going, you have to be conscious of the feeling. Recognize it. And try to push through?
You may be asking, how can you push through, if you feel unmotivated? If this is the case, you have to remember your why. What is your why? Why did you dream the big dream in the first place? When you think of your why, it will keep you going.
What if you decide to stop? Will you be letting yourself and others down? Will you be disappointed with yourself? Connect it back with your why.
Sometimes, we think that getting to our dreams is a straight path. But more often than not, that is not the case. There are going to be some days where you drop the ball. The most important thing that you can do, is not give up and try again. Even if this means trying again the next day. A new day is always an opportunity to try again. Just don’t give up.
I like to like of consistency using a baseball analogy. Sometimes we are so focused on trying to get a home run that we fail to realize that all we have to do to get there is make contact with the ball. If you struggle with consistency, sometimes you just have to try to make contact with the ball each day, instead of thinking about getting a home run. Even if you fail and miss the ball, you should try to swing and hit the ball the next time. Eventually, with enough swings, you will hit a home run. Your odds are infinitely greater if your aim is to make contact with the ball than to knock the ball out of the park with a home run…which happens less frequently.
Whatever your dream is, don’t give up. Just keep trying and you’ll make it.
