Hey Travelers! I recently headed to the Washington Monument to conduct my very first street interview with the theme “Can you become a diplomat?” My mission is to educate and inspire underrepresented groups to travel boldly with confidence and pursue careers in international affairs, including diplomacy.
During the interview, I posed a series of questions to raise awareness about diplomacy, shedding light on this incredible career. The questions covered various aspects, such as whether diplomats need college, which federal agency issues passports to American citizens, who the first secretary of state was, and where the State Department headquarters is located.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Participants enjoyed themselves, and some even learned a couple of new things about diplomacy.
Thank you to all of the brave participants for participating!
Below, you’ll find my “Can You Become A Diplomat? Composure Under Fire Street Edition” interviews.
